Matthew 6:34 – let God take care of tomorrow

“So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.” (The Living Bible)

Lord, you know I worry, about so many things. Help me to trust in You and hand all those worries over, knowing that You will take care of them all. You intended us to live joyously, one day at a time, in trust and faith. Thank You for helping me do that.

Lord, You have a higher plan and purpose for each of us that we can’t see or imagine now. When I get frustrated with my own lack of ability, or the challenges faced of those near to me, give me patience and a loving heart. Please keep reminding me that You have a reason, and that nothing is without meaning when we are with You.

Lord, in my busy days, help me to remember to slow down, be still before You, and put You at the centre of my life. Only then can all the busy-ness have meaning and purpose.

Always be full of joy. Never stop praying. Whatever happens, always be thankful. This is how God wants you to live in Christ Jesus.

Lord, help me to live a joyous life, the way You want me to live. Help me to feel thankful for all the good in my life, instead of focusing on what isn’t quite the way I’d prefer it to be. Help me to trust that You always answer prayer. Thank You!

Don’t worry

Philipians 4:6,7 – Pray about everything

Don’t be anxious about things; instead, pray. Pray about everything. He longs to hear your requests, so talk to God about your needs and be thankful for what has come. And know that the peace of God (a peace that is beyond any and all of our human understanding) will stand watch over your hearts and minds in Jesus, the Anointed One. (The Voice)

Lord, I love that You truly care for us and want to hear what’s troubling us. Like a good and loving parents, You want us to talk to You about our needs and worries, not bottle them up. Just telling You brings peace to our hearts and minds. Thank You for that! 🙂
