Up until December 2024, I used MailerLite to manage my email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to my subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which securely holds your data using industry standard technologies. Data held shows the name and email address you entered in the sign-up form when you signed-up to receive my newsletter, the date and time you signed up, and the IP address you signed up from. An IP address is a unique number that identifies a device connected to the Internet and its approximate physical location (to a town and country level, not your actual street address). As well they hold information noting which of my newsletters you opened and which of my newsletter links you have clicked. On request, all personal data can be removed from their database. Substack
Since December 1, 2024, I am using Substack to send emails to my subscribers. Substack is a third-party provider, which will securely process and protect your data using industry standard technologies. Data held shows the email address you entered in the sign-up form when you signed-up to receive my newsletter, the date and time you signed up, and the IP address you signed up from. An IP address is a unique number that identifies a device connected to the Internet and its approximate physical location (to a town and country level, not your actual street address).
As well they hold ongoing information noting which of my newsletters you opened and which of my newsletter links you have clicked to help me monitor and improve my newsletter. You can unsubscribe from my newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter, or using the “send email” link at the end of this privacy policy. On request, all your personal data can be removed from the Substack database. Information relating to your subscription is not passed on to any other person or provider without notifying you in advance, and you can opt-out at any time.
Substack also collect and process Personal Information about you when you interact with them and their services, as well as when you subscribe to any of their paid or unpaid services. This is generally limited to information you provide them or enter into the Substack site. Substack’s privacy policy is available at https://substack.com/privacy.
Paypal
If you purchase any books or other products from me directly via this site, the payment will be processed via Paypal, a third-party financial services provider. This website uses the Privacy Suite for WordPress by Complianz to collect and record Browser and Device-based Consent.
