Joys of being a pantser – finding out what the story is as I write rather than planning it in advance! – sometimes things go wrong, I mess up, and need to start over. Or essential pieces of the plot are sneaky and hide from me! Characters looooove not telling their authors the most important secrets from their past. Especially characters with messy pasts, like Mark, the book’s hero!
